# CartStars

> CartStars is an invitation-only network for the leaders of the world's best retail and ecommerce brands. Members trade **peer intelligence** — real, on-the-record answers from operators who have actually done the thing, never from salespeople. It is funded by recommended vendors, not by membership fees, and no vendor ever sees a peer conversation.

## What CartStars is

- **Category:** A private peer network / executive community for retail and ecommerce leaders. Not a Slack group, not a conference, not a vendor marketplace.
- **Who's in the room:** 450+ members — operators and executives from brands people know (e.g. Estée Lauder, Macy's, Gap, Allbirds). Average member company revenue is ~$127M/year. Membership is earned by invitation and vetting, not bought.
- **Core value:** Peer intelligence — you ask a real question ("who actually moved the needle on retention?") and get real answers from peers who've solved it, on the record, with no vendor in the room.
- **How it's funded:** Recommended vendors fund CartStars. Vendors do NOT get access to the peer-to-peer platform and do NOT get a backdoor to members' inboxes. This is structural, not a policy — no vendor has ever seen a peer conversation.
- **In person:** Members meet over invite-only dinners with retail leaders in their metro. CartStars operates across 17+ metros and growing.

## Why it exists

Commerce leaders are tired of conferences that pitch and Slack groups that quietly sell. The rarest thing in commerce is a straight answer from a peer who has no incentive to sell you anything. CartStars is built so that conversation can happen safely — vendor-free by construction.

## How to join

Membership is invitation-only and earned, aimed at the top ~5% of retail & ecommerce operators. Qualified leaders can apply to see if they fit. There is no membership fee.
